Everything you need to know about the Nusio Bali eSIM.
eSIM & compatibility
An eSIM is a digital SIM built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic card, you scan a QR code to add a mobile plan. The Nusio Bali eSIM also gives you a real local Indonesian (+62) number.
Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM — iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and many other Android devices. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check our compatibility guide for the full list.
No. Your eSIM works alongside your physical SIM. Keep your home SIM in for SMS verification codes and use the Bali eSIM for data and local calls.
Activation & KYC
Indonesian law requires every local SIM number to be registered to an identity document. After payment, you complete a 5-minute online step: passport photo, a selfie, and your phone's IMEI. Your documents are stored securely, used only for activation, and never shared.
Our team reviews submissions within 1–2 hours during business hours. Your QR code is then scheduled for delivery ahead of your arrival date, so you can install before you land.
We deliver your QR by email and WhatsApp before your arrival — typically a few days ahead, so you have plenty of time to install it.
On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On Android: Settings → Connections (or Network) → SIM Manager → Add eSIM. Scan the QR we send you and follow the on-screen steps. A full guide comes with your QR email.
Data, calls & hotspot
Plans run on a local Indonesian network with 4G LTE in most of Bali — the airport, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, and Nusa Dua. Some rural areas may fall back to 3G.
Yes. Your plan includes a real local +62 number, so you can register for Gojek, Grab, and any app that requires an Indonesian phone number — something roaming eSIMs with foreign numbers can't do.
In-app top-up is planned. For now, message our WhatsApp support team and we'll arrange the best option for your situation.
Payment & refunds
By card (Visa/Mastercard), QRIS, or Indonesian bank transfer, processed through licensed payment gateways. Prices are charged in IDR; other currencies are shown for reference.
If we can't deliver your eSIM, you get a full refund. See our Refund Policy page for the details, including cases where activation has already begun.
